The chAMPS programme focusing on people with disabilities in the form of limb amputations is being launched in St Lucia supported by the Australian High Commission’s Direct Aid Programme (DAP) and run by the Sacred Sports Foundation Inc (SSF).

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board confirmed that Alzarri Joseph and Nikita Miller were fined, and Roshon Primus was reprimanded for breaches of the Code of Conduct during the fourth round of matches in the Digicel Regional 4-Day Tournament which ended on Monday. All three players admitted to the offences and accepted the sanctions proposed by the respective match referees, meaning there was no need for formal hearings.

Netball At Vigie Complex
IT’S day two of the three match netball series between Saint Maarten and host Saint Lucia that’s currently being played at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports complex. Weather permitting the spectacle will serve off from centre court at 7:00 p.m. The two teams will face each other in the final match tomorrow starting from 4:00 p.m. at the same venue.

IAAF ‘Diamond’ Athletes to Share $3.2m. In 2017
IN a major restructure, the IAAF Diamond League has adopted a championship-styled model with the finalists competing for a prize pool of $3.2 million. From next season, athletes will earn points in the first 12 IAAF Diamond League meetings to qualify for two final meetings where $100,000 will be at stake in each of the 32 Diamond Disciplines, including $50,000 for each winner.

EIGHT Saint Lucian boxers left the island yesterday to compete in the 2nd Annual Caribbean Boxing Developmental Championships in Barbados which begins today and runs until Saturday. Leading Saint Lucia’s charge at the championships is Lyndell Marcellin in the 69 kg weight class.
