According to Bank staff, though the last eruption of La Soufriere was recorded on April 22nd, 2021, the aftermath is still a present reality for thousands of evacuees who have been displaced from their homes, in some cases their families and by extension their communities.

In the words of Executive Manager Human Resource and Organizational Development Prisca Eristhee- Delice “This initiative was organized and provided for, solely by the general staff body. The overwhelming response speaks to the love and care of our team members and the ease with which they respond to disaster. For these reasons, it is indeed very gratifying to see employees come together by way of an act of humanitarian kindness, makes me feel so proud of our team. It tells me this is truly an extension of our tagline Here…. for YOU!”
