IN observance of Cancer Awareness Month, teachers and students of the Montessori Centre made a generous donation of $1,500.00 to the St Lucia Cancer Society.
“We at the Society depend upon the goodwill of the community to help us continue our work in trying to ease the burden of those afflicted with the disease, as well as helping people get well and stay well, and empowering them to fight back”, a spokesperson for the school said.
Support in the fight against Cancer enables the Society to continue to touch the lives of Cancer patients and their families across the island.
The Society said it is grateful to the teachers, parents and children for this “kind gesture” which will be allocated to the fund for helping children with cancer.
