From Monday to Friday, films from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico and Venezuela are being screened. For Saint Lucia’s featured film and performance night on Saturday, LACFEST presents an amalgamated theatrical journey showcasing the works of Saint Lucian artists, directors, composers, actors and others.
The official opening of the festival took place at Johnsons Centre in Rodney Bay on Saturday with the ambassadors from the five foreign countries as well as Minister in the Ministry of Culture, Fortuna Belrose, saying they hoped that the festival deepens cultural and diplomatic ties among the countries.
The festival is absolutely FREE and open to the general public.
