HE is known simply as Meshach, lead vocalist/musician of the respected band ‘Wevoluzion’. For many years he and his band have been blazing the musical trail here and abroad with uplifting and conscious reggae vibes.

He is still blazing that trail today with the release of his second studio album called ‘No Retreat’.

The album, which contains nine tracks is produced by Allan Browne and Claudette Adjodha, and features anthems like ‘World Peace’ and ‘Do Good’.

Affectionately dubbed “The Voice of the Sufferer” Meshach, with the help of his producers, will be heading to North America and Canada to promote his new album which was released this week, in Saint Lucia.

“Finance was the critical factor that delayed this project which took three years to complete,” Meshach said.

But the CD is well worth the wait as Meshach’s vocal abilities and song writing skills are clearly revealed on the tracks.

From the catchy moving rhythm of ‘Babylon Burning’ to the title track ‘No Retreat’, it’s easy.

To see why Meshach has, over the years, been able to attract thousands of fans. Songs like ‘World Peace’, ‘Stay Out of Trouble’ and ‘Police Officer’ which are all on the CD are remarkable pieces of conscious vibes. His electric voice is captivating and as last year’s Jazz and Arts Festival showed when he appeared on the main stage, his personality is simply mesmerizing.

His first album ‘Awake’ reached airwaves in North America, France, England, Canada and the Caribbean. He plans to push the second album even further with help from his producers.

Born in Choiseul, Meshach grew up in a musical environment being exposed to all genres of music at the time.
