GOSL Showcases Its Digital Transformation Projects

The Department of Public Sector Modernization (DPSM) says it is pleased to be a participant in the 14th Annual Saint Lucia-Taiwan Partnership Trade Show currently which started yesterday and ends today.

The trade show was held at the Gros Islet Human Resource Development Centre. The exhibition was also held online via https://14thannual.saintluciataiwan.org/, and displayed services of Taiwan and Saint Lucia.

The DPSM’s participation was exclusively online showcasing the current digital transformation projects/initiatives under the purview of the Department of the Public Service that would support a resilient digital ecosystem. This year’s tradeshow theme is: “Propelling Business Development Through Technology”.

“We believe this is a great opportunity to highlight the Department’s digital transformation projects that would strengthen, support and sustain the activities of both the private and public sector.  An example of such is the digiGov project, which seeks to provide 154 public e-services on a central online government platform”, remarked Director of Public Sector Modernization, Marlon Narcisse.

The implementation of digiGov will have an impact on all government ministries and agencies as it will ensure that the Government’s  digital development objective increases access to online services, technologies and skills, whilst creating a digital enabling environment to support the modernization of the public sector, telecommunications and the digital financial services sectors.

Through a pre-recorded presentation which was aired at 12pm yesterday entitled: “digiGov- the catalyst for Public Sector Digital Transformation”, the Director of DPSM,  showed how the Government of Saint Lucia is  utilizing digiGov to respond to our current environment,  i.e. , meeting customers’ needs and expectations, improving on service delivery, offering alternate methods of payments, etc…
