Saint Lucia’s government has implemented a 50% reduction in airport taxes to enhance travel for regional visitors this summer.
This strategic move, endorsed by the Minister for Infrastructure, Stephenson King, ensures that airfare costs are more favorable, aiming to significantly boost visitor arrivals to the destination.

Minister King emphasised that this initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to improve travel affordability, as outlined in the recent budget. The Airport Service Charge Amendment Regulations are now officially in effect.
“The amendment reduces travel tax for Saint Lucians leaving Saint Lucia and for regional travellers coming to Saint Lucia.” he stated.
“This initiative spans six months and is designed specifically to facilitate summer travel, providing both regional travellers and Saint Lucians with a 50% reduction in the Airport Service Charge,” Minister King announced during a media briefing on Monday.
The government is confident that this measure will positively impact the economy by making Saint Lucia a priority destination for regional travellers.
This initiative will remain effective for six months, reverting to the original rates in January.
