The National Consumer Association (NCA) will convene its Biennial General Meeting on Monday, 19th October, at 5:00 p.m. at the Financial Centre. The meeting will review the Association’s work, address issues affecting consumers across Saint Lucia, and establish priorities for its consumer protection and advocacy agenda in the period ahead.

Representatives of government ministries, statutory bodies, public agencies and other organisations with an interest in consumer protection will attend and deliver brief remarks during the Open Session of the meeting.

Consumer advocacy is a shared responsibility that calls for engagement across public institutions, businesses, civil society and the wider public. The Open Session will bring these perspectives together, creating space for dialogue, stronger collaboration and discussion on advancing fair treatment and informed consumer choices. Members of the public are invited to attend.

“Consumer protection works best when everyone with a stake in it is at the same table,” says Dr. Thecla Fitz-Lewis, President of the National Consumer Association. “This meeting gives our members and partners in government, and consumer interest statutory bodies, a chance to take stock of where we are and agree on where we need to go. We welcome members of the public who wish to learn more about the issues affecting consumers and the work of the Association.”

NCA members are encouraged to attend and participate in the Closed Session, where the election of the Association’s next Executive will take place. For further information, please contact the National Consumer Association.
