Investment opportunities should not be reserved for only those with substantial wealth or extensive financial knowledge. That principle underpins the BOSL Global Investment Fund’s expansion, marked by its official launch in St. Kitts and Nevis on Thursday, October 8th, at the St. Kitts Marriott Beach Resort.
St. Kitts and Nevis became the Fund’s fifth Caribbean territory, selected for its established financial sector and potential for greater investment participation. With this, the launch created an opportunity to advance financial literacy and awareness of the Eastern Caribbean’s markets.
With a minimum subscription of US$200, investors can choose from three mutual funds suited to different investment objectives and risk appetites: the Global Growth Fund which invests primarily in equities; the Balanced Fund which combines equities and bonds; and the Income Fund which focuses primarily on bonds and takes a more conservative investment approach.
Shaiiede Kallicharan, General Manager, BOSL Fund Management Company, introduced the Fund and outlined its approach to investment participation. “Financial inclusion cannot exist in a silo. People should have opportunities to participate in investment and understand how their money can be put to work. We have deliberately created a low entry point and a straightforward subscription process because we want more people across the region to be able to explore investing in a way that suits their circumstances and financial goals.”

Investors can access the Fund through its regional network of brokers, including ACB Caribbean in Antigua and Barbuda, Bank of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Bank of Saint Lucia and Grenada Co-operative Bank. To subscribe, investors need a completed subscription form and one form of identification. Once registered, they can use the Fund’s online portal to monitor their investments, review portfolio information and make additional subscriptions.
The programme featured Stewart Haynes, Chief Executive Officer of the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange, who addressed the importance of broadening investment participation across the region. The programme concluded with an address by Dr. Timothy Antoine, Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, bringing a regional perspective to the discussion on investment and financial development.
The St. Kitts and Nevis launch is yet another step in BOSL Global Investment Fund’s regional development, extending its reach while creating additional opportunities for investors to engage with Caribbean capital markets.
