ALL CLEAR GIVEN

As of 9:45 p.m., Friday, July 2nd, the all-clear will be given to the island of Saint Lucia. The threats from the hazards of Hurricane Elsa has diminished considerably as the hurricane continues on a path away from the island.

The Tropical Storm warning for the island has since been discontinued, however, small craft operators are advised to stay in port and residents in areas prone to lanslide and flooding should continue to be vigilent and exercise caution.

Hurricane Elsa battered Saint Lucia for the better part of Friday morning and afternoon, downing power lines, ripping off roof tops and destroying structures.

According to reports, during the passage of Hurricane Elsa one life was lost, that of a gentleman from Soufriere.
