Criminals appear tobe having a field day inVieux-Fort, committing illegal acts in various parts of the community.
The latest incident occurred between 10.00 p.m on Thursday and 7.00 a.mon Friday, when two masked unarmed men broke into the First Caribbean International Bank (CIBC) in Vieux-Fort.The intruders allegedly made their way into the bank by entering the area where the ATM is located and breaking the door leading to the main building.
However, they came out empty-handed, making their escape on board a vehicle.
Police are currently examining CCTV footage believed to have capturedthe crime in progress to see if they can identify the intruders.
The last incident occurred earlier this month, when Family Food Mart in La resource, Vieux-Fort was robbed of an undisclosed sum of money and items.
So far, no one has been arrested in connection with that incident.
