SEABOARD Marine has announced enhancements to its Miami, Florida Eastern Caribbean ocean freight service. The vessel rotation will now include a new port call at Castries, St. Lucia.
The new weekly service is supported by two container ships that will commence today departing from Port Miami, Florida with a five day transit to Castries.
“This direct, weekly service enhancement gives our valued customers an early departure and the shortest available transit time to St. Lucia. With same day cargo availability at destination, we are confident we will bring increased efficiency to this market,” said Stephen Bell, Vice President of Seaboard Marine’s Caribbean Division.
He added: “With the combined capabilities of our Port Miami facility, our warehouse and our cross-dock operations in Miami, we have the necessary infrastructure to handle cargo of all varieties and from any origin within the United States.”
The documentation and delivery cut-off at Port Miami, Florida is Wednesday at 12:00 p.m.. The vessels depart weekly Thursday with an early morning arrival at Castries, every Tuesday. Seaboard said the 5 day transit and early Tuesday morning availability are a unique convenience for its customers. The service supports equipment types of all sizes in addition to less-than-container load cargo.
