Saint Lucian born Dr. Winston Sealy is an Assistant Professor in the department of Automotive and Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Minnesota State University, Mankato, Minnesota. USA
Dr. Sealy completed his Ph.D. in Technology Management with a specialization in Manufacturing Systems at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. During his studies at Indiana State University, Dr. Sealy’s research dissertation consisted of developing a methodology for evaluating quality characteristics of fused deposition modelling.
Prior to this, he served as a pre-doctoral fellow at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he developed and taught courses in Parametric Modelling, Finite Element Analysis, and Metrology.
Most recent publications and conference proceedings include the American Journal of Engineering and Technology Research, Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutes, and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Dr. Sealy’s passion for engineering started at an early age of curiosity. The youngest of nine siblings, of his Patterson’s Gap residence, he attended the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School (CCSS) where Physics, Mathematics, and Electricity were his favourite subjects. After completing GCE and CXC examinations, he worked as a Xerox technician with J.E. Bergasse and Co. for a number of years prior to pursuing post-secondary education in the United States.
In addition to a doctoral degree, Dr. Sealy holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Master’s of Science in Technology Management Systems Engineering from the University of St. Thomas.
