THE highly anticipated reality cooking show is finally here! Tomorrow, only on Choice TV, “Jr Chefactor Caribbean” will make its television debut in Saint Lucia with episodes every Sunday.
Nine hopefuls from around the island get set to cook their way through to the finals for the coveted title of “Jr Chefactor Caribbean”.
A first for Saint Lucia, the pioneering show promises to showcase the best budding talents in the culinary industry. Created and hosted by Ms. Hanna Fitz of Seashell Consulting Inc. in association with title sponsor Boka Group and Gold sponsor Cap Maison Resort and Spa, the contestants will be judged by veteran chefs Xavier of Blue Olive, Bobo Bergstrom of fire Grill, Craig, Executive Chef at Cap Maison, OrlandoSatchell of O’s and Saint Lucian Chef Robby Skeete of Caribbean Pirates.
Several key corporate entities have supported this programme including Gold sponsors Mediazone and Seashell Consulting Inc, Bronze sponsors: Solgas and its commitment to not only providing high quality fuel but also fuelling the dreams of young Saint Lucians, CFL and gl food market, Crown Foods and RJB Limited. Other key sponsors are Saint Lucia Marketing Board, Saint Lucia Fish Marketing Corporation, Rainforest foods, local designer Queen Esther of Kuumba Designs, Diamonds International, JE Bergasse, Duboulay’s and Digicel.
Contestants will be faced with weekly challenges and must create a dish which will impress the judges and save them from elimination. Show Presenter Ms. Fitz, lauded the support of the Chefs, sponsors and volunteers who came together to make the show a possible.
According to organiser,s “It has been an exciting journey working on this project and the future is bright for Saint Lucia’s culinary industry. We simply need to nurture our young chefs so they can realise their dreams of one day becoming world class chefs.”
The public is also encouraged to participate in the Facebook #whatscookingjrchefactor challenge for a chance to win a $200 voucher to shop at gl food market.
