THE School Sports competition currently on at venues around the island is producing some poor results. On centre court on Tuesday, a number of schools continued to be hammered in Under-15 netball and basketball.
At the end of the day, the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School was the only team to reach double figures in a losing effort (18-17) in Under-15 at the hands of Corinth Secondary. St. Mary’s College destroyed Vide Bouteille Secondary 62-0 in Under-19 basketball.

In Under-15 netball, Micoud Secondary defeated Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School 21-3. For Micoud, Goal Shoot Briana Daniel scored 11 points from 20 attempts and Goal Attack JermiaSonson scored 10 points from 18 attempts. For VFSCC, Allana Romulus (GS) scored 1 point from 5 attempts while Cresyana (GA) scored 1 point from 5 attempts and Tajea Eugene (GA) scored 1 point from 1 attempt.
Soufriere Comprehensive defeated Choiseul Secondary 28-5. For Soufriere, Renala Francis (GS) scored 11 points from 28 attempts and Megan Nestor (GA) scored 15 points from 18 attempts. For Choiseul, Dahlia Charlemagne scored 6 points from 11 attempts.
Beanefield Comprehensive had the better of AnseGer Secondary winning the match 19-9. For Beanefield, Mia Attie (GS) scored 15 points from 28 attempts, Startsha Montoute (GA) scored 2 points from 5 attempts and Kyle Vernege (GA) scored 2 points from 2 attempts. For AnseGer, Judy Simeon (GS) scored 8 points from 13 attempts.
Still in Under-15 netball — this time at the Beausejour Indoor Facility — St. Joseph’s Convent defeated Clendon Mason Memorial 23-8. For SJC, Britney Desir (GS) scored 4 points from 7 attempts, MelikaDestang (GA) scored 16 points from 24 attempts, and Melanie Antoine (GS) scored 3 points from 5 attempts. For CMM, Margrissa Phillip (GA) scored 1 point from 2 attempts.
In a nail-biting match-up, Corinth Secondary defeated Castries Comprehensive 18-17. For Corinth, Sanya St. Ville (GS) scored 2 points from 4 attempts and Dasha Eugene (GA) scored 16 points from 26 attempts. For CCSS, Rena John (GS) scored 12 points from 19 attempts and Aeryn George (GA) scored 5 points from 7 attempts.
In Under-19 basketball played at the Beausejour Indoor Facility, Leon Hess Comprehensive beat Soufriere Comprehensive 23-11 while St. Mary’s College whipped Vide Bouteille Secondary 62-0.
At the Vieux Fort Sports Complex, Vieux Fort Comprehensive defeated Sir Ira Simmons 38-11.
In Under-19 male football played at the Gros Islet playing field, Babonneau Secondary defeated Castries Comprehensive 2-1 while SDA Academy was thrashed by Corinth Secondary 5-0. At the Sab Sporting Facility, Sir Ira Simmons Secondary trounced Ciceron Secondary 3-2 while Jon Odlum Secondary whipped Vide Bouteille Secondary 4-2.
At the La Ressource playing field, CARE Institute and Grande Riviere Secondary played to a 2- all draw while Clendon Mason Memorial had the better of AnseGer Secondary 4-1. At the Soufriere Mini Stadium, Soufriere Comprehensive beat Piaye Secondary 1-0.
