St Jude Hospital wishes to advise the general public that the hospital remains in a state of recovery following the passage of Tropical Storm Matthew overnight.
A full assessment of the condition of the stadium is currently underway. The public is now advised that all elective surgical procedures scheduled for today, Thursday, September 29, 2016 have been cancelled.
Some activity has resumed in the Outpatient Clinics. The Walk In, Pediatrics and Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) Clinics are open. The Urology Clinic has been rescheduled for tomorrow. The Nephrology Clinic will resume as usual next week and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic has been postponed for tomorrow.
Hospital visiting hours however, have resumed as normal. Dialysis treatments have also resumed. The hospital’s emergency services continue to be available.
The hospital did however experience some minor flooding on the East Wing as well as some light pieces of debris falling from the Stadium room. We were able to weather the effects of Tropical Storm Matthew relatively well.
St. Jude Hospital would like to thank the public for their cooperation and compliance with our pre-storm advisories. We remain committed to serve the public to the best of our ability.
