The Department of Commerce has sent out an open invitation to the public to participate in the 19th Annual Saint Lucia-Taiwan Partnership Trade Show, taking place November 6-8, 2026, at the Pavilion on the Ramp, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.

Held under the theme “From Local to Global: Innovate Today, Sustain Tomorrow,” the three- day event will bring together local entrepreneurs, Taiwanese companies and consumers for a showcase of products, services, technology and innovation, while strengthening commercial ties between Saint Lucia and Taiwan.

This year’s Trade Show will feature 65 Saint Lucian businesses, seven Taiwanese companies participating in person, and a further 20 Taiwanese companies represented through product samples and catalogues. Exhibitors will represent a range of sectors, including agro- processing, fashion, beauty and wellness, food and beverages, arts and craft, and technology from 10am to 7pm on each day.

Among the Taiwanese companies participating are ASUSTeK Computer, Speedtech Energy, MegaLink Technology and I-MEI Foods, offering visitors an opportunity to discover products and innovations from Taiwan. The Department reviewed 118 local business applications received during the application period, which ran from July 6 to August 12, 2026. The selected exhibitors reflect the diversity, creativity and potential of Saint Lucia’s business community.

A special feature of this year’s showcase will be a sustainable fashion presentation using hemp fabric, with local designers demonstrating the creative and practical possibilities of alternative textiles. The initiative, undertaken with the involvement of the Regulated Substances Authority (RSA), also highlights the importance of regulatory guidance and innovation in exploring emerging business opportunities.

Beyond the business exhibits, visitors can look forward to culinary demonstrations featuring Caribbean and Taiwanese cuisine, the second annual culinary competition, karaoke and other activities for the entire family.

The Trade Show provides a platform for local entrepreneurs to promote their products, connect with consumers, explore new business opportunities and build relationships with potential partners. Through this year’s theme, the Department of Commerce is encouraging businesses to look beyond the domestic market, strengthen their competitiveness and recognise the potential of Saint Lucian products and services to reach regional and international markets.

The Department encourages families, entrepreneurs, business owners and the wider public to attend, discover new products, support local enterprise and experience the growing partnership between Saint Lucia and Taiwan.
