THE Inter Secondary Schools Under – 15 Schools Cricket Tournament continued on Tuesday, with one match being played between Beanfield Secondary and Piaye Secondary. First timers Beanfield Secondary recorded an easy seven wicket victory.
A clinical bowling display from Beanfield Secondary restricted home team Piaye Secondary to 56 all out in 14.2 overs, with no batsman reaching double figures.
Bowling for Beanfield Secondary, Lester Mathurin picked up two wickets for no runs in two balls, Kanan Mc Lawrence had two for four in had two overs, Kaj Robert two for nine in three overs and Nicola Stephen claimed two for 18 in three overs.
Set just 57 for victory, Beanfield Secondary easily got their target, finishing on 57 for three in 13 overs, with Mc. Lawrence and QuameDeschong finishing on 12 and 11 not out respectively.
Result – Beanfield Secondary winning over Piaye Secondary by 7 wickets.
Meanwhile, one match was scheduled for yesterday between Sir Ira Simmons Secondary and Entrepot Secondary at the Monchy Playing Field. Results of that encounter will be in the Saturday 25 June edition of The VOICE.
