A mouth-watering clash between Central Castries and Vieux Fort North is expected to usher in this weekend’s highly anticipated action in the third edition of the St. Lucia Semi Professional Football League {SPFL} today at the Soufriere Mini Stadium.
Vieux Fort North will be looking to extend their 4-point lead on the Central Castries team which is in 8th place on 11 points. A win for the southern team could see them leapfrog a Gros Islet outfit which will be engaged in the nights second encounter against an Anse La Raye team with blistering pace and what appear to be 90 minutes of fuel in the tank but lagging at the bottom of the division.
On Sunday, Mabouya Valley will meet league leaders Dennery in what is sure to be derby to remember even while the teams are 12 points apart.
The final game on Sunday will feature defending champions La Clery up against Soufriere at 8pm. Both teams have secured 18 points and a win for either team would secure 4th spot, at least until the next round of matches.
