Saint Lucian swimmer Noah Dorville has been selected to represent Saint Lucia at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, marking a significant milestone in his swimming career and an immensely proud moment for his family, club and country.

A member of Seajays Swim Club and a student at The International School, Saint Lucia, Noah will compete on one of the world’s most prestigious international sporting stages for young athletes. The Games, scheduled for 31 October to 13 November 2026, will be particularly historic as Senegal becomes the first African nation to host an Olympic sporting event.

Noah’s selection represents the culmination of years of dedication, discipline, sacrifice and perseverance. From daily training sessions and countless hours in the pool, he has remained committed to developing his abilities and pursuing his passion for swimming.

Over the years, Noah has proudly represented Saint Lucia at CARIFTA, CCCAN, OECS and Goodwill Swimming Championships, achieving numerous finals appearances and earning several medals, including gold medals in freestyle events at the OECS Championships. He was also recognized as National Federation Age Group Champion in 2023 and 2024.

Noah is scheduled to compete in the men’s 50m and 100m freestyle events.

For his parents Martin and Cheryl Dorville, and his brother Tristan Dorville this achievement holds a particularly special meaning.

“We could not be prouder of Noah. We have witnessed firsthand the countless hours of training, the sacrifices, the triumphs and the disappointments that are all part of competitive swimming. Watching him grow in confidence, determination and maturity throughout this journey has been immensely rewarding. While we celebrate his achievements in the pool, we are even prouder of the disciplined, humble, talented and resilient young man he is becoming. To see him represent Saint Lucia at the Youth Olympic Games is truly a special moment for our family.”

As Noah prepares to join fellow Saint Lucian athletes Fayth Jeffrey and Kadan Sam at Dakar 2026, his participation represents another exciting chapter in his sporting journey and an invaluable opportunity to compete alongside some of the world’s most talented young athletes.

Congratulations, Noah! Dakar 2026 awaits!
