Yet, beyond the trophies and medals, the real victor was football itself—the beautiful game that inspires passion from grassroots players to global stars. Over six months of intense competition, Saint Lucia’s young talents showcased skill, resilience, and promise, hinting at a future generation capable of representing the nation on the international stage.

The day opened with a dramatic clash between Marchand and Gros Islet which could easily be described as a bronze medal thriller (third place). Gros Islet stormed to a 3–0 halftime lead, with goals from Lionel Hippolyte (7’), prolific scorer Keemany Ferdinand (14’), and an own goal by Keegan Joseph (22’).

But Marchand roared back in the second half, netting three goals through Jamal Edward (37’), Messiah John (44’), and Keylan St. Juste (46’) to level the score at 3–3. The match went to penalties, where Marchand held their nerve to edge Gros Islet 5–4, clinching the bronze medal in unforgettable fashion.

The championship showdown between defending champions Mabouya Valley and newcomers Desruisseaux was a showcase of endurance, speed, agility, strength, and tactical awareness. Both teams displayed the qualities essential for success in football—balance, flexibility, and coordination under pressure.

Mabouya Valley’s Zackim Francois proved the difference, striking twice in the 38th and 44th minutes to secure a 2–0 victory and seal his team’s back-to-back championship triumph.

The competition also celebrated standout performers:

  • Top Scorers: Keemany Ferdinand (Gros Islet) & Zackim Francois (Mabouya Valley) – 8 goals each.
  • Outstanding Defender (Finals): Zayed Willie (Mabouya Valley)
  • Midfielder of the Finals: Zackim Francois (Mabouya Valley)
  • Best Attacker of the Final: Whiz Alcindor (Desruisseaux)
  • Best Goalkeeper: Jerlani Neptune (Desruisseaux)
  • MVP of the Final: Zackim Francois (Mabouya Valley)

Cheered on by a small but appreciative crowd, the boys elevated the competition with their passion and skill. The six-month league not only crowned champions but also reaffirmed the depth of Saint Lucia’s football talent—young players with the heart, discipline, and determination to grow into future stars.
