The final preliminary round of matches in the SLFA Inc. Girls Under 15 District League competition took place on Saturday 20th December 2025 at the Technical Centre in Grande Riviere Dennery.
There were wins for Dennery and Desruisseaux while Anse La Raye, and Soufriere had to settle for a share of the points.
Front runners Soufriere, and Anse La Raye began the day’s proceedings with an exciting 1 – 1 draw. Following a goalless first half. Leading goal scorer Janai Prevost shot Soufriere into the lead in the 54th min.
However, in the 66th minute Akala Sam equalised for Anse La Raye ensuring that her team shared the dividends.
In the second game Dennery was leading Vieux Fort North & South 3 – 0 by halftime, a comfortable position that Dennery see out the game with that scoreline. The goals came in quick time through Faye Alphonse, Jenesis George and Trudy Joseph, in the 3rd, 10th and 18th minute respectively.
In the final game of the day and with all the goals coming in the first half Desruisseaux defeated Choiseul 3 – 1.
They got their goals from Alyssia Jn. Pierre 20th, Falonn Antoine 33rd and Joyceline Neptune 35th minute.
Sarah James had earlier opened the scoring for Choiseul in the 6th minute.
With the preliminary round of matches in the competition completed, the points standing are as follows:
1. Desruisseaux – 13 pts.
2. Soufriere – 13 pts.
3. Anse La Raye – 12 pts.
4. Dennery – 12 pts.
5. Canaries – 6 pts
6. Choiseul – 3 pts. and
7. Vieux Fort N. & S. comb. – 1 pt.
Desruisseaux edged out Soufriere for the top spot with a better goal difference while the same scenario existed with Anse La Raye over Dennery
The leading goal scorer is Janai Prevost of Soufriere with 10 goals. She is followed by Faye Alphonse of Dennery with 6 and Daria Tisson Canaries Kayla Lionel of Desruisseaux with 4 each and Trudy Joseph of Dennery with 3..
The semifinals are now set with Desruisseaux, Soufriere, Anse la Raye and Dennery advancing to the next round at a date to be convened.
