As part of its ongoing commitment to player welfare, the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. (SLFA) conducted a Safeguarding Workshop for coaches on Saturday, March 8, 2025—International Women’s Day.
The session, led by SLFA Safeguarding Officer Ms. Raejean Montoute, provided training and guidance to twelve coaches on safeguarding practices. Ms. Montoute, who is also overseeing the finalization of the SLFA’s Safeguarding Policy, noted that FIFA has already reviewed and provided feedback on the document.
The SLFA plans to roll out similar workshops in the coming weeks and months to ensure that coaches across the island are equipped with the necessary skills to protect and support young athletes.
