
Law enforcement officers have initiated a thorough investigation into a fatal stabbing that occurred on Tuesday (December 2) in Riviere Mitan.
The victim, Linus George Delice, 54, was a resident of Valerie Lorde Avenue in Riviere Mitan, Monchy, Gros Islet.
At approximately 7:48 p.m. on Tuesday, officers from the Northern Division responded to the scene of the crime.
Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive male lying on the steps of a wooden structure, with a significant laceration to the chest.
The victim was promptly transported to Owen King EU Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a medical professional.
One individual is currently in police custody and is cooperating with the investigation.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled for December 4. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
