
Hundreds flocked to the Mindoo Phillip Park (MPP) this week to witness junior calypso and soca artists battle and earn bragging rights on behalf of their respective schools.
On Thursday, primary schools from around the island converged on the MPP to effectively make their mark on the island’s 2025 carnival season. At the close of the day ‘s proceedings the crowd was evidently satisfied and the majority were satisfied with the quality on stage.

On Friday, the secondary schools were on show at the same venue with each institution adequately represented. It is estimated that the crowd exceeded 1000 eagerly anticipating bumper performances from the respective artists.

Organizers have already dubbed the events a major success. It was described as an excellent launching pad for the rest of the season.
