The Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC), one of the largest and most diverse pitch competitions in the world, is open to students under 18 through its Idea Stage category — offering a groundbreaking opportunity for youth entrepreneurship in Saint Lucia.
Thanks to the leadership of SLUDTERA Inc. and its partnership with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), student innovators now have a chance to pitch their big ideas and represent Saint Lucia on the global stage.
Student entrepreneurs can apply with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who will serve as a co-applicant. Whether you’re building your first prototype, working on a brilliant school project, or dreaming up a solution to real-world challenges — EWC welcomes your entry.
“This is a phenomenal moment for students in Saint Lucia,” said Michelle N. Samuel, Country Director for EWC St. Lucia. “We are proud to champion youth entrepreneurship and give our island’s young visionaries a platform to grow, compete, and be recognised globally.”
In the past, the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School has dominated the competition producing winners.
The Idea Stage is open to startups or concepts that:
– Are self-funded or backed by family and friends (no revenue)
– Are not yet legally registered or just recently registered
– Are working on a prototype or MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
– Are university-based research projects in development
– Have not yet entered the commercial market
Eligibility for Students Under 18
If you’re under 18, EWC has created a pathway just for you:
– A parent or legal guardian must co-register and provide written consent.
– If selected to participate in the Global Finals in Saudi Arabia, both the student and guardian will represent the company.
– While EWC Global covers the student’s travel, guardians must cover their own expenses.
