
THE Saint Lucia Yacht Club recently hosted the 12th Mango Bowl Regatta in Rodney Bay.
The organizers hailed the event a success and expressed their enthusiasm for building on this achievement in 2025.
The results of the regatta were as follows:
J24 / MBR 24 Combined:
1. Attitude – Frederick Sweeny (Saint Lucia)
2. Fly – Robert Povery (Barbados)
3. Unbridled – Marcus Sweeny (Saint Lucia)
J24 Surprised / MBR 24 Combined:
1. Double 6 – Nicholas Gillet (Martinique)
2. Aquanet – Stanley Dormoy (Martinique)
3. Attitude – Frederick Sweeny (Saint Lucia)
Racing MBR 24:
1. Panacea X – Karty Campbell (Canada)
2. Maison Satec – Jean Mitchel Figueres (Martinique)
3. Dandelion – Geoffrey Parker Evelyn (Barbados)
Additionally, during the Annual General Meeting held on December 15th, the Executive Committee reviewed the financial year from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, and set further goals for 2025.
The executive team was re-elected unopposed for the term starting in 2025:
– Commodore: Peter Lang
– Vice Commodore: Timothy Moffat
– Rear Commodore: Anthony Bergasse
– Treasurer: Charles Devaux
– Secretary: Josh De Freitas
– Sailing Captain: Franck Chevrier
