Around 8:20 p.m. on November 16, 2024, officers from the Vieux Fort Police Station’s Tactical Response Unit, who were on patrol, stopped a masked man on the corner of George Shine and Clarke Streets.
The officers conducted a search of the masked man and found one magazine and three rounds of.40 calibre ammunition. The man was identified as Randal Mc Farlane, 19, of Bruceville.
Mc Farlane was charged with having ammunition, a gun part, and wearing a mask in public with the intent to commit a crime.
He was taken to the Second District court on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, for a bail hearing. Bail was granted by the court in the sum of sixteen thousand dollars cash or suitable surety.
