The Landings Resort & Spa honoured its best employees and departments at its 2022 Staff Awards Ceremony held at Sandals Grande St. Lucian Resort & Spa on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

Over one hundred employees from the luxury resort attended the formal event held in the William Jefferson Ballroom. The event began with cocktails, followed by dinner, before heading into the more exciting segment of the evening: the awards ceremony.

Paul Collymore, Chief Executive Officer of The Landings Resort & Spa, addressed the audience, telling them the event underscored more than just the quantum of hard work and dedication the team demonstrates each day in their quest for excellence.

“This ceremony also demonstrates The Landings Resort & Spa’s appreciation for our team members who demonstrate such excellence,” said Collymore. “This is where we reward you for your excellent service and commitment to the vision of being a number one destination.”

Acknowledging that the year 2022 did not come without challenges for the property, Collymore said strong team work played a crucial role in keeping things together, especially dealing with the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is hard to believe that just a year ago every one of us would be wearing a face mask at such a ceremony,” he said. “It was a difficult time, but, through our shared hard work and dedication, we made special events like tonight possible, especially our nominees.”

Collymore congratulated the nominees for a job well done, and encouraged them to keep on that path of excellence. He also implored them to share their secrets with fellow team members, noting that, “when we all aspire for greatness, the team is better for it.”

“At the inaugural Gimies, The Landings Resort & Spa captured the Award for Medium Hotel of the Year,” he stated. “Let’s all give a resounding round of applause for our collective efforts.”

Collymore added: “On behalf of our Chairman and the Body Corporate Board of Directors, the senior management team, and all homeowners, I extend a hearty thank-you for all the efforts you put in towards making our property an award-winning choice for visitors.”
