The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport informed the general and motoring public of the intermittent closure of the Barre de L’isle Road on Thursday June 2nd, 2022, between the hours of 9:30am and 10:30pm.
This closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of the reinforcement structure in order to complete the reinstatement of the collapsed section of the road.
Motorists and commuters are therefore advised to expect delays between the aforementioned hours (9:30am to 10:30am).
Motorists are advised as well to exercise extreme caution when traversing the Barre de L’isle and to pay heed to the associated signage.
