As part of its ongoing member education programme, under the Smaller Member Support Programme, the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Seminar (3hrs), titled “Understanding Financial Statements.” The event has been scheduled, for June 30th, 2022 and will be offered at minimum cost to the Business Community.
Financial Statements can be considered the score card of any organization. From Balance Sheets to Cash Flow Statements, information emerging from Financial Statements serves great value and purpose. As a result, the need to possess some proficiency in accurately interpreting the Financial Statements cannot be underestimated. Therefore, a sound understanding of Financial Statements stands to better position individuals to appreciate the strategic decisions and plans being undertaken in a business.
This highly demanded workshop has been delivered successfully over the last two years, with an even greater interest from the Business Community during the current challenging financial storm brought upon internationally by the Covid-19 Pandemic, now spiraling inflation. The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture will, in collaboration with the Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation (SBFIC), and other Partners invite the Business Community to be part of this informative and practical workshop.
General Manager of EMAX Solutions, and practicing accountant Elias Maxius will be the Facilitator for the workshop. Maxius possesses over eight years’ collective experience in Banking, Finance and Accounting, and is also a certified pro advisor holding advance certifications in QuickBooks Online and Quickbooks Desktop.
