The United Workers Party are upbeat after yesterday’s mammoth motorcade that saw scores of supporters clad in party colours in cars, vans, dump trucks and motorcycles take to the streets in support of their party.
A release from the communications arm of the party highlighted “the thousands of Saint Lucians who
energetically expressed their confidence in the Allen Chastanet administration during yesterday’s National Flambeaucade.”
According to the release, “the overwhelming response from men and women of all ages, classes
and religious backgrounds, in particular, the overwhelming turnout by the youth proves that the country understands the need to stay on the right track with the UWP.”
Before urging the electorate to stay focused and keep UWP in power come July 26, the party took time to applaud the feedback from Saint Lucian’s on the Five for Five plan. “It has been highly positive. This response decisively confirms our firm belief that it is the right set of policies to lead our country through the Covid-19 pandemic and into the future,” the release concluded.
