JICA & Greening the Caribbean — Keep Saint Lucia Green & Clean

PRESS RELEASE – THE Saint Lucia Office of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) partners with the Greening the Caribbean in efforts to do their part to maintain our dear Saint Lucia “simply beautiful” with the first activity for the year 2019 in the “Keep St Lucia Green & Clean” campaign.

JICA Saint Lucia and the Greening in the Caribbean have always played an active role in keeping the community clean through their various clean up campaigns year round. This year will be no different, as a special effort has been taken to start off the year with a speedy momentum.

The general public is invited to turn out and join the efforts to beautify Saint Lucia, as they tackle the Choc area on Saturday 19th January 2019 from 8:00AM.

Administrative Officer with responsibility for Corporate Communication and Public Relations with the JICA Saint Lucia Office, Mr. Glen Lake stated that “We hope to spark-up movements to clean-up all over Saint Lucia. It is our community, our island home, and the onus is upon us all to keep it clean and protect our environment.”

JICA Saint Lucia is a Government agency that supplies technical expertise, training courses, ODA loans and grants and volunteer aid to the people of Saint Lucia through bi-lateral agreements between the countries of Saint Lucia and Japan.

The Saint Lucia office also covers Barbados, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad, Antigua & Barbuda, Trinidad & Tobago, St Kitts & Nevis, Grenada and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. (JICA)
