Chamber has a new President

PRESS RELEASE – MS. Karen Peter Managing Director of Caribbean Metals Ltd., is the New President of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture.

Ms. Peter gained almost total support in her quest and now leads a new-look Board for the 134 year-old Institution.

Five new Directors will take their seat for the first time at the service helm of the Chamber.

While Ms. Peter has been a Director since 2013 and served as Second Vice President since 2016, she brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Manufacturing and Accounting to her new task and has an intimate understanding of the work and interests of the Chamber.

Ms. Peter takes over the Presidency from Mr. Martin Dorville, who served the customary two terms as Chamber President and did not seek re-election.

Mr. Dorville’s drive and astute leadership skills will remain available to the Chamber as he will remain on the Board as Immediate Past President.

The 1st Vice President is Mr Johnathan Johannes, Managing Director of 1st National Bank, while the 2nd Vce President is Jason King of St. Lucia Distillers.

The new Executive Members are: Martin Dorville (Massy Stores), Trevor Louisy (LUCELEC), Siobhan James-Alexander (Digicel), Donna Hinkson (Sagicor), Bruno Didier (Scotiabank), Dr Alison Gajadhar (KMA Consulting), Cheryl Renwick (Renwick and Company) and Ross Gardenet (Carasco& Son).
