PRESS RELEASE – THE National Workers Union (NWU) did a soft opening of its southern operational office in Vieux Fort on Tuesday. The office is situated on the Beanfield Highway next to the Vieux Fort South Constituency Office.
A Management Committee comprising eight Shop Stewards in the southern belt will guide the office operations along with Leonards Prescott, a former WINERA Shop Steward, who will handle the day-to-day operations.
Workers on the East and West Coast as far back as Dennery and Canaries will now be in a position to access the services of the National Workers Union Southern Office.
The NWU operations in the southern belt shall include negotiations, seminars, disciplinary hearings, mobilization and general meetings.
From March 1, 2018, the NWU will be engaging in a mobile publicity campaign that would cover the Union’s areas of interest.
