Fond Doux Plantation & Resort is excited to announce that the contestant for Fond Doux Plantation & Resort, Ms. Luceleen Modest, captured the crown at the Choiseul Lawenn Kweyol Pageant held last Sunday.
Out of the seven women competing for the title, Ms. Modest was consistently impressive in all categories where she won awards for “Best Creative Wear”, “Best Talent” and “Best Interview”.
As a local craftswoman in the Bellevue Community, Ms. Modest used her craftsmanship to design her own creative wear using screw pine, madras, nylon bag, calabash, fish scales and African snails.
The owners of the Fond Doux Plantation & Resort, Eroline and Lyton Lamontagne, were very elated by her win.
“As a Green Globe Certified Resort, Fond Doux continues to be a recognized leader in supporting local initiatives to help preserve Saint Lucia’s cultural heritage for generations to come,” said Eroline Lamontagne.
As Saint Lucia observes Jounen Kweyol on Sunday, October 30, the management and staff of Fond Doux Plantation & Resort extend a “Bon Fete Kweyol” to all Saint Lucians.
