Islah Man Is Back; Says ‘I Mean Business’

NEIL Gittens popularly known as Islah Man is back!! After a five year hiatus, the “Fire City” Champion made appearances at two major events this past weekend namely Cooler Fete and the official launch of Carnival 2016.

He delivered energetic and dynamic sets which included a mix of past hits like “Party Mash Up”, Neighbourhood and “Rocktion” along with the 2016 fan favourite “MaadMaad”.

Islah Man no stranger to the big stage, used some of his performance time at Sunday`s launch of carnival, to encourage the nation`s youth to be positive and law abiding citizens.

The artiste remarked: Young people you must remember that education is key, so stay in school and stay out of trouble”.

With the carnival season now in full swing, Islah Man continues his preparations for Soca Monarch and several upcoming shows for which he is booked to perform.

Commenting on being selected to compete in the Soca Monarch Preliminaries scheduled for this coming Friday , Islah Man said: “I`m really happy to be back in action and I give thanks to the organisers for the selection”.

He added: “ I am working with a young and vibrant team and we are really trying to stay focused and execute our plans to the best of our abilities. I am back and I mean business”

Islah Man is a two time 1st runner up in the St Lucia and Caribbean Soca Monarch Competitions. His 2016 power soca “MaadMaad” was produced by Studio No Xcitement. He co-wrote the song with Aimran Simmons.

The music video, a first for Islah Man, was recorded over the weekend and will released later this week.
