WITH exactly 16 days to go before the start of the 2016 Vizions Super League Grand at the Beausejour Cricket Ground, plans are being finalized for the signing of a formal agreement between Vizions Entertainment and Marlon Glean Soccer of New York.
That’s the word coming from Edward Fedee secretary for Vizions Entertainment. He said, “Marlon Glean Soccer Organisation is headed by Grenadian national and expert in international law, Marlon Glean who over the last 15 years has secured in excess of 100 scholarships for soccer players from Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, the UK and Grenada to attend and play soccer at universities and colleges throughout the United States of America”.
Under the terms of the agreement soccer coaches will visit Saint Lucia to scout for talent and teams, from universities and colleges from the USA will visit Saint Lucia during the summer as part of their development programme.
Fedee said, “Vizions Entertainment, the organisers of the Super League Football tournament scheduled to be launched on Saturday 16 April, welcome the agreement and are very excited about this initiative. Consequently, the organisers are moving ahead by encouraging coaches and players to commence compilation for their video documentaries. While the opportunities will become available, players are encouraged to focus on their academics also, as they are equally important in being selected for a scholarship”.
