Two ‘Hat Tricks’ In Girls U-15 Football

The St. Lucia Football Association Under – 15 Girls Competition continued on Sunday in the Western Zone with one game played at the SAB Playing Field between Anse la Raye and Canaries.

Canaries continued their onslaught on Anse la Raye defeating them 7 – 0 for the second consecutive weekend (aggregate 15 – 0). At end of the first half Canaries led 4 – 0 with goals from Tessa Regobert in the fifth and 34th minutes and Tanika Bernard in the 21st and 26th minutes.

On the resumption Canaries went on to score a further three goals through Cassandra Wilfred in the 46th minute, Janell Mathruin in the 50th minute and another from Tessa Regobert in the 53rd minute, to complete her hat trick.

In the Southern Zone one game was played at the Augier Playing Field between Vieux Fort South and Soufriere, Vieux Fort South winning 8 – 0.

The goals were scored with a hat trick from Shakira Classe, two goals each from Krysan St. Louis and Ianna President and one goal from Britanya St. Prix.

In the FA Fantasy Inter-District Championship League qualifiers, on Saturday, one game was played at the Augier Playing Field featuring Laborie and Choiseul.  At the end of regulation time the score line was goalless and the game went into penalties with Laborie winning over Choiseul 3-1.

On Sunday, at the SAB Playing Field, Canaries defeated South Castries 4 – 1.  At the Desruisseaux Playing Field, Mon Repos went down to Desruisseaux 4 -1.

Meanwhile, a dipping for the round of 16 will take place at the SLFA office located at Barnard Hill today at 5.00 p.m.
