PM’s T20 Final Match Today

THE customary large crowd of cricket fans in Mabouya Valley is expected to turn out for the last game of the Prime Minister’s T20 Cup scheduled to bowl off from 4:30 p.m. today at the La Resource Playing Field between the Prime Minister’s 13 and an Eastern Zone Select X1.

The players selected to represent the East Zone X1 are as follows – Chard Polius, Sabinus Emmanuel, Hazel Charlery, Craig Emmanuel, Kevin Edmund, David Jn Baptiste, RohanLesmond, Christian Charlery, Denzel James, Andrew Joseph, Shem Severin, Kernan Henry and JeannickSerieux

Prior to the start of the match, The Masters Cricket League will be hosting one of their outstanding matches scheduled to bowl off from 1:30 p.m. when Islanders plays New Park.

Islanders will be looking to do the double over New Park following their convincing win in their earlier meeting. However, New Park is on a three match winning streak which included the defeat of the current champions Central Castries, and will be looking to continue in that vein, especially with John Eugene in fine form, having scored back to back centuries in the last two matches.

Meanwhile, the women will be stroking off their domestic season tomorrow at Laborie with the Kenneth Arthur Soft ball Festival from 9:30 a.m. A number of teams have confirmed their participation in the one day festival.

Teams will be engaged in 5 overs a side taped ball matches.

Following Sunday’s festival the AcyntaAuguste 50 over inter district competition bowls off on March 12 at venues around the island with 6 districts confirming their participation.
