The streets have claimed another life after one elderly man was killed over the weekend following a collision with a motorcycle.
According to reports from the Press Relations Office of the Royal St. Lucia Police Force, officers attached to the Marigot Police Station responded to an incident which occurred at Coolie Town, Marigot on Saturday evening at around 6:15 p.m.
The collision involved a motor cycle ridden by a young man of Marigot and a pedestrian, 61-year-old Donald Henry of Ciceron, Castries.
As a result of the collision, Henry sustained serious injuries and was transported to Victoria Hospital via ambulance where he was treated and admitted. He later succumbed to his injuries.
