Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences Appoints Almando Rigby as General Manager

Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences has announced the appointment of Almando Rigby as General Manager. According to the resort, Rigby brings more than 20 years of progressive experience leading ultra-luxury resorts across the Caribbean.

Rigby most recently served as Executive Assistant Manager at Rock House Resort, part of the Grace Bay Resorts portfolio in Turks and Caicos. In this role, he reportedly led more than 145 colleagues across six key divisions, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Engineering, Finance, and Sales & Marketing.

Previously, Rigby was Director of Rooms with Grace Bay Resorts, where he upheld Forbes-level service standards across all guest touchpoints. His earlier career spans senior roles in resort operations and retail management, where he is believed to have developed a strong expertise in financial management, team leadership, and daily operations.

As General Manager of Windjammer Landing, Rigby will oversee all aspects of resort operations, focusing on strengthening performance, driving revenue, and enhancing the overall guest experience. He has also been tasked with leading all departments to ensure consistent service standards, operational efficiency, and seamless delivery across the resort.

Rigby’s appointment marks a new chapter for Windjammer Landing following an extensive $40 million renovation and the addition of La Belle Hélène, an ultra-exclusive ten- bedroom estate set in the UNESCO-protected region of Soufrière.

The Windjammer Landing sits on a 65 acre property on the northeast coast of the island, featuring 220 guest rooms and villas.
