
The Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC) is excited to announce that submissions are now open for the 2026 National Groovy and Power Soca Competition as organizers gear up for this year’s Lucian Carnival season.
A spokesperson for the CPMC stated: “The stage is set, the rhythm is calling, and we invite you to be part of the sound that will define Carnival 2026.”
Submission Process: All entries must be submitted digitally via the official online submission form here.
Mandatory Submission Requirements:
– Full Government Name
– Sobriquet or Stage Name
– Email Address
– Date of Birth
– Image (labeled with sobriquet/stage name)
– Song Title
– Producer’s Name
– Song (in WAV or MP3 format)
– Backing Track (in WAV or MP3 format)
The deadline for submissions is Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 p.m. Late submissions will not be accepted.
All music competitions for 2026 will follow the updated CPMC Competition Rules and Regulations, now in effect.

Notable Updates to Article 3: Registration:
(a)An artist or group (hereinafter referred to as “artiste”) wishing to participate must complete the registration form provided by the CPMC. Registration is open to both individual artists and groups. An artiste may only register and perform once, using the same song throughout the competition.
(b)Registration Forms must be accompanied by recent passport-size photographs, a digital file of the Groovy or Power Soca song to be performed, and the backing track (instrumental version with backup vocals). Completed registration forms must be submitted to the designated drop-off venue or email address by the announced times and dates.
The CPMC encourages every artiste to rise to the occasion, embrace these new standards, and contribute to a Carnival season defined by excellence, creativity, and national pride.
