
In December 2025, the Ministry of Education, Youth Development, Sports, and Digital Transformation proudly announced the successful conclusion of the first term of school sports.
The term showcased thrilling competitions in basketball, football, netball, table tennis, and road racing, clearly highlighting the exceptional talent and determination of Saint Lucia’s student-athletes.
Under-19 Basketball
Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) decisively captured the championship with a commanding 57-30 victory over St. Mary’s College (SMC) at the Beausejour Indoor Facility (BIF). Castries Comprehensive Secondary School (CCSS) solidified its position, defeating Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School (SCSS) 54-40 for third place.
Under-15 Football
St. Mary’s College (SMC) emerged victorious in the Under-15 final, prevailing over Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School (SCSS) 4-3 on penalties after a thrilling 2-2 draw. Saint Lucia Sports Academy dominated Micoud Secondary School (MSS) with a 3-0 victory to clinch third place.

Under-19 Football
SALCC added another championship title by defeating SCSS 2-1 in the final. In the third-place playoff, Saint Lucia Sports Academy edged out MSS 2-1.

Under-19 Netball
Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School (VFCSS) snatched the Under-19 crown with a narrow 31-30 win over MSS. SALCC secured third place, overcoming SCSS 28-25.
Under-16 Netball
Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School (SCSS) successfully retained its title, defeating St. Joseph’s Convent (SJC) 24-23 in a gripping final. Saint Lucia Sports Academy (SLSA) claimed third place with an 18-8 victory over CCSS.
Inter-Secondary School Table Tennis
The championships featured a strong field of 96 athletes across U13, U15, and U19 divisions.
– U13 Girls: Lyzan Seraphin (CCSS) defeated Eurnisha Braville (VFCSS) 3-0.
– U13 Boys: Andretti George (SMC) triumphed over Juan Frias (LHCSS) 3-0.
– U15 Girls: Shatal Charles (Sports Academy) won decisively against Amaya Emmanuel (Soufrière) 3-0.
– U15 Boys: Leshon Francis (CCSS) claimed victory over Landen Felicien (SMC) 3-0.
– U19 Girls: Charles defeated Daniella Symphorien (CCSS) 3-1, earning the title of Female MVP with an impressive 24-0 record.
– U19 Boys: Francis overcame Manie Eleuthere (Ciceron) 3-1, achieving the Male MVP title with a flawless 22-0 record. Special recognition goes to Delon Joseph and Meshach Cox of Vieux Fort
Special Education Centre for reaching the quarterfinals, with their school also successfully advancing in team events.
Inter-District Primary School 3K Road Race
District 8’s Kem Deterville dominated the boys’ race, finishing in 11 minutes 22.63 seconds, while Hadassah Jules claimed the girls’ title with a time of 12 minutes 51.21 seconds.
Inter-Secondary School 5K Road Race
Omarian Edwin of SALCC won the boys’ race in 18 minutes 28.00 seconds, with Tafari Martin of MSS finishing second (18:44) and Chaz Alexander of SCSS taking third (18:52).
In the girls’ division, McKayla Oliver of SALCC finished first in 23 minutes 01.87 seconds, followed by Khaleigh Landers of VFCSS (23 minutes 31.16 seconds) and Angelle Joseph of Clendon Mason Memorial in third place (23 minutes 38.94 seconds).
The Ministry celebrates the outstanding achievements of all participating schools and athletes. With the first term concluding on a high note, organizers are poised to elevate the upcoming second term of school sports, which will begin in three weeks.
