
The authorities announce essential temporary upgrades to the Dennery Playing Field and acknowledge any inconvenience this may cause.
The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports confirms that the lights at the Dennery Playing Field are being temporarily removed for necessary rehabilitation and improvement, “driven by our commitment to ensuring safety for all facility users.”
Furthermore , the statement adds : “We recognize that residents and local clubs will face disruptions during this period, but we are dedicated to minimizing the duration of these upgrades. The Ministry is committed to reinstating the lighting as quickly as possible.
“This project is a key part of the Government’s initiative to upgrade sporting facilities across the island, creating safe spaces for our youth.

“In addition to the Dennery Playing Field, the cricket ground in the Dennery South Constituency is being upgraded, and new changing rooms are being constructed on the football field.
“In line with our goal of actively engaging youth, we have recently established a steelpan shed in the area, fully equipped with brand new instruments.
“We appreciate the understanding of the Dennery community as the Government works diligently to restore the facilities. Regular updates will be provided by the Ministry regarding the progress of the re-installation.”
