Amazonian Warriors claimed the 2025 Dream 11 St. Lucia T10 Blast Championship title with a commanding victory over Iyanola Heritage in the tournament’s sixth edition,which concluded on Tuesday at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground (DSCG).

Sent in to bat first, Iyanola Heritage struggled, finishing their innings at 76 for 8 within the ten overs. Skipper Xavier Gabriel emerged as the top performer with 22 runs off 18 balls (2 fours).

On the bowling front, Jaden Elibox and Zayee Antoine delivered crucial performances, taking 2 for 19 and 2 for 23, respectively.

In a powerful response, Dane Edward displayed explosive batting, racking up an unbeaten 63 runs off just 20 balls, featuring 7 sixes and 4 fours with an astonishing Strike Rate of 315.00. Notably, he dominated opening bowler Aaron Joseph, scoring 30 runs in a single over that included 3 sixes, 2 fours, one wide, and two no-balls.

Murlan Sammy contributed with 12 runs off 10 balls as Edward fittingly struck the winning runs, sending the ball over the mid-wicket boundary.

Whiptail Smashers vs. Piton Strikers

Piton Strikers – 77/2 (4.5 overs).

Nathaniel Joseph, a talented 16-year-old right-arm medium pacer, delivered an outstanding performance, taking 3 for 17 and ensuring the Whiptail Smashers were restricted to 74 for 7.

Piton Strikers then swiftly chased down the target, winning by eight wickets to secure third place in the tournament. This marks the third consecutive match where the Whiptail Smashers failed to capitalize during the power-play.

Joseph claimed crucial wickets, dismissing Jard Goodman for 3, Ashton Alexander for 10, and concluding the power-play by sending Amari Venner back for a duck.

Junieski Gustave contributed by taking out Kimani Melius (21) in the fifth over, while Lee John ended unbeaten on 20 from 18 balls.

Chasing 75 for victory, Piton Strikers had a shaky start, losing Vince Smith without scoring in the opening over.

However, Jason Simon’s 33 runs from 17 balls and Christian Charlery’s unbeaten 34 from just 13 balls propelled the Piton Strikers to a convincing win in 4.5 overs.
