The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College will be closed to the general public on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in preparation for the official campus visit of the Nigerian President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This closure is necessary due to the heightened security protocols for this historic event. President Tinubu will meet with the SALCC Board of Governors, managers and a cohort of students for a two-hour welcome ceremony.
The visiting President has announced possible academic scholarships for St. Lucian students as well as economic and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
College operations will resume on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
