Organizers have praised this year’s Inter Schools Under-19 and Under-15 Singles Tournament as a significant success.
The competition, organised by the Saint Lucia Table Tennis Association (SLTTA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, offered exciting challenges for the participants.
Boys Under-19 Tournament Results (November 16):
– Champion: Joshua Lubin from the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) won the Schools’ Championship Title for the second consecutive year.
– 2nd Place: Stephen Steel (SALCC).
– Joint 3rd Place: Leshon Francis from Castries Comprehensive Secondary School (CCSS) and Manie Eleuthere from Corinth Secondary School (CSS).
The SLTTA also recognized the efforts of quarterfinalists Jayden John (St. Mary’s College), Kowen Lionel (TVET), Jace Charles (St. Mary’s College), and Khamari Harris (St. Mary’s College).
Girls Under-19 Tournament Results:
– Champion: Shatal Charles from the Patricia James Secondary School (PJSS) secured the Championship Title for the third consecutive year, being undefeated throughout the tournament.
– 2nd Place: Ernaya Clerice from St. Joseph’s Convent (SJC) produced an upset by eliminating the #2 seed to advance to the finals.
– 3rd Place: Daniela Symphorien (CCSS) and Elizabeth King (CSS).
The SLTA expresses gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports for their support and to all entities that contributed to making this year’s Inter-Schools Singles Tournament a success.
Additionally, the Inter-Schools Under-13 finals took place last Saturday at the Tennis Centre, Vide Bouteille.
