Choiseul Craftmasters surged past Micoud Eagles by five wickets in the Eliminator round of the SPL T20 Cricket League at the Francis “Baba” Lastic Grounds on Tuesday, delivering a thrilling match filled with intense momentum.

The atmosphere at the FBLG was electric, as a passionate crowd enjoyed the excitement, despite some lapses in play. The Craftmasters, undeterred by seven costly drop catches, showcased their resilience, executing a performance highlighted by firepower, precision, and determination on their quest for a finalist spot.
Batting first, Micoud Eagles set a target of 164 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. At one point, struggling at 50 for 4 after 8.1 overs, Mervin Wells provided a brief recovery with 25 runs. Murlan Sammy then steadied the innings, top-scoring with 55 runs off 47 deliveries, which included five fours and two sixes.
Other contributions came from Rohan Lesmond with 39 runs and Alleyne Prospere, who remained not out on 17.

In response, Choiseul Craftmasters pursued the target with determination, reaching 165 in 16.3 overs while losing five wickets. Trevon James delivered a standout performance, scoring 75 not out off 42 balls, featuring five fours and five towering sixes.
Jason Simon also made a valuable contribution with 32 runs, as the pair added 48 runs for the first wicket in just 3.4 overs. David Livingston capped off the chase with a solid 25 runs.
For Micoud Eagles, Ted Jonas claimed two wickets for 20 runs, Kyron Phillip took two for 41, and Sanjay Pamphile grabbed one for 26.
Looking ahead, the tournament continued on Friday, May 15, with Qualifier #1 featuring City Blasters versus Soufriere Titans.

On Sunday, May 17, Choiseul Craftmasters will face the loser of Qualifier #1.
Match time for both days is set for 7:30 p.m.
The grand final is scheduled for May 23 at the FBLG.
