Seajays Swim Club Makes Waves with Eighth Straight Championship Victory

The Seajays Swim Club once again proved they are the team to beat in Saint Lucia’s swimming circuit, delivering a powerhouse performance at the Karen Beaubrun Memorial Swim Championship held at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Center over the weekend.

With fierce determination and unmatched consistency, Seajays amassed a whopping 1,321 points, clinching their eighth consecutive title at the prestigious national meet. Their closest challengers, Sharks Swim Club, fought valiantly but settled for second place with 1,280 points, while Lightning Aquatic rounded out the top three with 555 points.

Also participating were RR Aquatic (415 points), Southern Flying Fish (339 points), and the RHAC Swim Club, which earned 194 points.

But the story didn’t stop at points alone — Seajays dominated the medal count, racking up a remarkable 147 podium finishes, including 72 gold, 43 silver, and 32 bronze. Their swimmers’ versatility and endurance were on full display, with strong showings across all age groups and disciplines.

Sharks Swim Club, however, kept the competition heated, collecting 39 gold, 52 silver, and 48 bronze medals, demonstrating their growing depth and determination to challenge Seajays’ reign.

Lightning Aquatic also made a splash with 26 gold, 9 silver, and 10 bronze medals, cementing their place as a rising force in Saint Lucian swimming.

Meanwhile, the Southern Flying Fish swam to 10 gold, 11 silver, and 8 bronze medals; RR Aquatic earned 5 gold, 16 silver, and 17 bronze; and RHAC Swim Club collected 4 gold and 3 silver medals in a commendable effort.

The Karen Beaubrun Memorial Swim Championship continues to be a defining stage for Saint Lucia’s young aquatic talents. And with each edition, the competition only gets tighter — but for now, Seajays remain the tide no one has been able to turn.
